WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT - The gruesome discovery was made outside a shisha cafe this morning after the decapitated head was angled to look in through front window
Horrific footage of a severed head discovered in a box on a pavement outside an Amsterdam café has been shared on social media.
The decapitated head was left outside Fayrouz Lounge close to the city's popular Vondelpark this morning.
In the gruesome video, which emerged on Liveleak, it can be seen sitting on the cobbled street in the Dutch capital.
The clip, which the Mirror has censored, shows the face angled to be looking through the café window.
Police are investigating whether it is linked to the discovery of a decapitated body which was found in a burnt-out car on the edge of the city yesterday.
Local media reports the box was placed on its side and the head was positioned so it looked in through the windows of the shisha cafe.
