Fleeing: Jeremy Clarkson

Jeremy Clarkson is planning a quick getaway from his Top Gear suspension hell – as close friend Phillipa Sage takes the wheel.
With the BBC pondering whether to sack him after he was accused of hitting producer Oisin Tymon, Clarkson, 54, is hoping to jet abroad for a holiday with Phillipa once he has found out his fate.
The pair were seen together for the first time since the row erupted as they left a charity function at London’s Roundhouse on Thursday evening, during whichClarkson delivered an F-word tirade against his BBC bosses.

The Mirror revealed yesterday how he called executives “f****** b*******” and that they had “f*****” Top Gear. He added that he was on the verge of being sacked.
Last night on Twitter, Clarkson said: “Many many thanks to all of the people who have called for my reinstatement. I’m very touched. We shall all learn next week what will happen.”
Last year there were unconfirmed reports he is being divorced by his wife Frances, 53, after 21 years. He has so far refused to comment on his marital status.
However, Clarkson has previously grown close to Phillipa, 44. In April 2011 He was accused of having an affair with the events organiser while touring Australia, South Africa and Norway with his Top Gear co-presenters Richard Hammond and James May.
He was also seen kissing Miss Sage while on holiday with her in Greece.
His next planned holiday with her might have to wait until after the Top Gear Live shows in Norway next week. BBC Worldwide is still selling tickets for the four events in Stavanger even though the last three shows in the TV series were cancelled after Clarkson’s suspension. If Clarkson is cleared he could make his comeback in Norway next Friday.
Yesterday a “ tank ” with a man dressed as the Stig on top delivered a million-name petition calling for the BBC to reinstate Clarkson.
