The controversial rapper also didn't sit with other guests backstage
It's been quite the week for rapper Kanye West.
The 37-year-old star broke down in tears during an emotional interview with Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe yesterday.
And now it's also emerged he threw a strop on The Jonathan Ross Show, which is due to air on Saturday.
During a pre-record for the show, Kanye filmed a performance of new track Only One before Ross tried to have a chat with him, though he was never scheduled to have a sit down interview as a guest.
But rather than speaking, Kanye refused to say anything while lying on his back on the floor - where he ended his performance.
In a bid to get him to warm up and speak, the host went to lay beside him and joked about the size of his rear compared to Kanye's missus Kim's behind.
“If you want to spoon I don’t mind. It’s not as big as Kim’s but it is all yours," Ross said.
But he couldn't work his magic and Kanye got up and exited the stage.
The dad-of-one also refused to sit in the backstage green room with other guests and didn't get a picture with the British TV host, as is routine.
An insider told The Sun: “It was all very odd. Kanye was only there to perform and not have a proper chat but he wouldn’t even say two words to Jonathan. It was very funny when Jonathan got on the ground and lay next to him.”
Though a source tells us that the pair "got on amazingly".
They continued: "Kanye was incredibly humble and the audience even gave him a standing ovation.
"He didn't hang out in the green room because of other scheduling commitments - the show was always aware and this was prearranged from the beginning. There was a tech difficulty during the first performance so while they were waiting to run through a second time, Jonathan went over to lay next to him and they were cracking jokes quietly together until production was ready to run it through the second time.
"After the second performance - the audience gave him a standing ovation which Kanye was completely moved and humbled by. He stood in front of them and raised his hands together, took a gracious bow and put his hand on his heart to thank them."
"And prior to the performance when Kanye arrived to the show Jonathan went to his dressing room and they spent 15 minutes laughing, with nothing but love and positive vibes. Jonathan even mentioned he had an extensive Sex Pistols collection and told Kanye he is welcome to come and view it anytime. "
An ITV Spokesperson said: "Kanye West was booked on the show solely to perform, which he did brilliantly."
Kanye attended the professor's memorial service along with the likes of Victoria Beckham ahead of London Fashion Week , and described his last meeting with his friend and mentor at London's Hakkasan.
"I think she knew she was gonna pass," he told Radio 1 host Zane Lowe, while describing her as the "baddest professor of all time".
Affectionately describing how influential that Wilson was on his life, Kanye was inspired with how Wilson pushed her students, stating that she was "notorious for not letting people stop at a 7 or 8," but would push for a 12 and create the likes of Alexander McQueen.
"So many students, they don't give it their all," he said recalling their conversation."
Of trying to get the best out of his daughter with wife Kim Kardashian, Kanye also revealed the advice that Wilson gave him: “She just looked at me and said: ‘Kanye, don’t clap’."
Kanye was then reduced to tears and could be heard breaking down during the interview, with Lowe asking if Kanye needed a minute to get himself together.
"That’s never happened to me in an interview before," he said as he came back on air and later admitted that talking about Wilson was "kinda hard for me."
