The TOWIE star's followers questioned whether she only got £4,800 for her time on the reality show after it was rumoured she picked up a hefty pay packet
Gemma Collins has donated her full I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here fee to a charity for starving children.
Last year it was widely rumoured the 34-year-old still picked up a hefty pay packet, despite her short stint in the jungle.
But a spokesperson for the star told Mirror Celebs: "I can confirm that the £4,800 fee was the full and final fee that Gemma received for her participation in last year’s I’m A Celebrity."
Speaking on This Morning last November, the TOWIE star revealed she wouldn't be keeping any of the money and said she had only got a small percentage after quitting early.
Sticking to her promise, yesterday she shared a letter sent from Save The Children, which thanked her for her generous £4,800 donation.
“We are very grateful for your support as it allows us to continue helping some of the world’s most vulnerable children," they wrote.
While Gemma captioned the shot: "Pleasure to have donated my jungle fee to save the children."
But her post was quickly inundated by comments from people questioning the amount she got paid.
One wrote: "You telling us you only got paid £4,800?? That's rubbish."
And: "No way that's all you got!"
But others said she was right to post the amount to "silence her haters".
"An excellent cause Gemma. What a shame you had to post this to silence you haters and to all the people questioning if that was the whole fee and had she kept any."
The 34-year-old sensationally quit the jungle after just three days.
