Giant rat as big as a CAT leaves London homeowner too scared to go outside

Terrified Sam Firth found the rat - believed to be as big as 18 inches long - staring through her kitchen window

Brazen: The super-sized rodent was snapped staring into a kitchen window in Belsize Park

As big as cat and fearless in the face of humans, this is the giant RAT stalking the streets of North London.
The terrifying rodent - believed to be as big as 18 inches long - was found staring menacingly into a kitchen window.
Horrified homeowner Sam Firth found herself too scared to even venture into her garden after the confrontation in Belsize Park yesterday.
"It was bizarre, I was sat having a cup of tea when I spotted the rat staring back at me," she said.

"I'm afraid to venture outside, the gigantic rodent had no fear," she added.
It is the latest in a spree in sightings of super-sized rats across Britain.
Justin Holloway of Prokill warned an army of massive rodents immune to traditional poisons may be “closing in” on the Wiltshire town.
And in Somerset, a dozen families were evacuated from their homes after a five year rat infestation got out of control.
Estimates suggest a new strain of giant rats can measure up to 307mm nose-to-tail.
