The family of a toddler run over by his mum while she parked her car at their home have described it as "an absolute tragedy".
The three-year-old boy, named locally as Liam Turner, was playing with his six-year-old sister at the back of the family home when he was hit.
It is understood his mother Lyndsay was reversing her car to park it when the accident happened.
A relative who answered the door at the family's home on Watton, Norfolk, said: “What happened was an absolute tragedy, it’s a very sad time for the family and we need time to grieve.”
Neighbours said the boy’s father picked him and up and drove him in the direction of the nearest hospital.

He flagged down an ambulance crew who had been treating another young boy who had been involved in a crash nearby.

Liam was taken from his home town of Watton, Norfolk, to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital by air ambulance after the incident at around 2.30pm on Sunday.
He received emergency treatment but sadly died the same evening.
Neighbour Faye Hardman said the family are “devastated” and mum Lyndsay is “heartbroken”.
She said: “She loves him so much and he’s mummy’s little soldier forever.

“She’s devastated, absolutely devastated, she loved him to pieces.
“She’s sorry, really sorry and just so heartbroken.
“I can’t imagine what she’s going through.
“I couldn’t imagine what she’s going through.
“I’m upset and I just knew him so for a mother to be in that situation it’s just unthinkable, it doesn’t feel real that that has happened and he’s gone now.”

The road, on the edge of a housing estate, looks out onto a field and backs onto a communal parking area, where the accident is thought to have happened, along with three other rows of houses.
Around a dozen children regularly ride around on bikes, scooters and skateboards and play with footballs right next to where the boy was hit.
The tragic tot is thought to have lived with mum Lyndsay Turner, 33, a stay at home mum, dad Stephen Turner, 38, his sister Leanne, six, as well as his grandparents.

A Norfolk Police spokeswoman confirmed there have been no arrests and said officers are investigating the cause of the crash.
