The Old Trafford club are said to be open to offers on the Argentinian but will demand most of his record £59.7million fee
Marching orders: Angel Di Maria struggled to get in the United team after his red card against Arsenal
Bayern Munich want Angel Di Maria - but Manchester United will demand most of his record £59.7million fee.
Bayern have joined Paris St Germain in vying for Di Maria and it is believed the Bundesliga giants have discussed signing the Argentina forward.
Bayern can offer more cash than PSG, who are hamstrung by FFP restrictions, and feel Di Maria could revive their Champions League fortunes.

They are determined to make a statement in the summer transfer window and are also targeting Wolfsburg’s Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling.
United are not looking to offload Di Maria, despite his poor debut campaign following his British record £59.7million switch from Real Madrid last summer.
However they would be interested if Bayern were willing to stump up most of the fee they paid Real.
Di Maria, who managed just four goals in 32 appearances for United, is understood to prefer a return to Spain if he is to leave Old Trafford and he has struggled to adjust to life in England.

Exit? Di Maria left the pitch injured against Hull on the final day of the season
But he could be tempted by a switch to Germany because of the opportunity to work with Bayern’s former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola.
Di Maria, 27, has been a big disappointment at United and boss Louis van Gaal dropped him him for two months after his stupid red card against Arsenal in their FA Cup defeat in March.
Van Gaal only brought him back for Sunday’s final game of the season at Hull when he was forced off injured.
