The 21-year-old, who suffered with depression, was found dead at the Newquay holiday park after also writing that he was "seriously fed up"
A young model and lifeguard has been found dead at a holiday park hours after writing on Facebook that he was "feeling alone".
Keen surfer Grant Clarey, 21, was found hanged at the holiday park in Newquay, Cornwall, in the early hours of Monday.
On Sunday evening, the popular youngster wrote on Facebook: "Seriously fed up! Anyone free this evening?! Feeling alone."
His family revealed today that he had "everything to live for" but had been suffering from depression.
His dad Jim Clarey, a former policeman, said: "The world was his oyster.
He has a modelling contract and was about to do some filming in April for a Channel Four series - he was going to be one of the big characters in it.
"He was incredibly fit and loved being active.
He was very good looking. He had everything going for him.
"Everywhere we looked he had girls chasing him. He was definitely a bit of a character.
"Grant always wanted to join the Army but that didn't work out because he's injured his breastbone.
"So he started doing some work for Help for Heroes every Wednesday at the surf lodge.
"We knew he'd been depressed for a while.
He knew we all loved him so much."
Grant - who had an older brother and sister and two younger sisters - was found dead on Monday.
Police say they are not treating his death as suspicious.
He worked as a lifeguard at the Piran Meadows Resort and Spa in Newquay and had been previously involved in local surf clubs and occasionally played rugby locally.
Devon and Cornwall Police said:"The death is not being treated as suspicious. We're preparing a file for the coroner."
