Police were called out after a report of a large fight in the street at around 3am on Sunday - two men have been arrested on murder related charges and a third has been released
Dominic Doyle, 21, was found critically injured after police were called to a huge fight on Manchester Road in Denton in the early hours of Sunday.
He was rushed to hospital by ambulance at around 3am but later died of his injuries.
According to the Manchester Evening News, a post-mortem has now revealed he died as a result of stab wounds.
Dominic’s family have paid an emotional tribute to their ‘cheeky chappie’ son, known as Dom, who lived at home with his mother and father.

“He was fun, caring, loving and a cheeky chappie who was loved by everyone who knew him.
“Dom’s friends will describe him as a brother, fun loving and the heart and soul of the party.
“He had a heart of gold and would help anyone.

The Manchester Evening News reports an 18-year-old man from Audenshaw has now become the third person arrested in connection with his death.
A 15-year-old boy also remains in police custody. However, a 21-year-old man, who has arrested over the incident, has now been released without charge.

Detective Chief Inspector Ian Crewe from Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team said: “We have carried out extensive enquiries into the circumstances surrounding Dominic’s death and are providing all the support we can to Dominic’s family, who are understandably devastated at the loss of their loved one.
“We are still appealing for any witnesses to come forward to assist detectives in this investigation and are specifically asking for anyone who was either at or in the vicinity of Hughes’ pub on Manchester Road in Denton in the early hours of Sunday morning to please get in touch.”
Two men were injured and taken to hospital, but Dominic died from his injuries.
The other man, aged 18, remains in hospital where he is being treated for facial injuries. His condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
