According to a post by Daniel's father, Martin, on Facebook, Daniel suffered a broken leg and punctured lung and is currently undergoing treatment at Coventry Hospital.
In another post Martin described 19-year-old Vicky's condition as "not good".
In his Facebook photos, active Daniel, from Buxton, Derbyshire, can be seen enjoying a tandem skydive and a work-out session with his friends.

An Izaac Walton spokesman said: "Daniel is a great guy. We are all thinking of him at the moment and send him our very best wishes for a speedy recovery."
Dan previously worked at the Bentley Brook Inn in Fenny Bentley, Derbyshire, for around a year, staff confirmed.
Landlady Wendy Livingstone said staff were shocked to hear he was involved in the accident.
She said: "He left here a few years ago. He was always popular here with the customers. Always well-liked.
"He was always getting involved with things, he loves his sports and taking an active role in the local area.
"It was a bit of a shock."
His naming comes after one of the victims of the horrific Alton Towers rollercoaster crash has spoken for the first time.
Joe Pugh told pals he was "overwhelmed" with the response since news of his injuries was announced.
He tweeted: "So overwhelmed with the response I've had from my accident at Alton towers, Thankyou for everyone's concern".
Joe was on the front row of The Smiler with his girlfriend Leah Washington when it smashed into another carriage and injured both of them.
Daniel and Vicky were next to them and also suffered serious leg injuries when carriages collided on The Smiler ride at the Staffordshire park.
Witnesses below the 14-loop Smiler reported people’s faces had been “smashed in” and that “blood was everywhere”.
It took hours to free victims with the other 12 in the carriage described as “walking wounded.”
Although no medical details have been released, West Midlands Ambulance Service said today three of the four had “life-changing” injuries.
Joe, 18, is a student at Huddersfield University and also works at Oaks Working Men's Club in his home town of Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
He was on the ride at the theme park with his girlfriend Leah, 17, when the accident happened.
Horrified colleagues spotted the popular barman being stretchered from the carriage in TV footage.
Alice Holmes, 18, recognised Joe’s distinctive blue jacket.
She said: “Joe had been a few times before and had even been on that ride.
