Dad Donald said: “We were planning a wedding. Now we are planning a funeral.”
Accountant Emma collapsed at the home she shared with fiance Kerr Brooks after coming home from a hen holiday in Ibiza.
Worried Kerr was away working and couldn’t raise Emma on the phone, so he asked his brother to go round and check on her.
No one in the family could get any response from Emma so the brother broke into the house. He discovered her body inside.
Donald said: “He smashed the door in and that’s when he found her. It’s terrible.
“She had been complaining of palpitations before and it looks as if she had a massive heart attack.
“Everyone has come round to support Kerr.
“He is just devastated. We were planning a wedding, now we’re planning a funeral.”
Kerr and Emma had been a couple for 10 years and lived together in Overtown, Lanarkshire. They were due to get married on June 6.
A family friend said: “Emma had been away for a week in Ibiza and came back to prepare for her big wedding.
“She was so full of life and had the world at her feet.
