The publisher of a magazine has apologised after being accused of glamorising anorexia by featuring an underweight model.
Readers went online to criticise the decision by Danish magazine, Cover, with some saying it was a “poor choice” and the publication taken it “too far”, the Mail Online reported.
One comment on Reddit, by Keepitgoinglouder, said: “I totally understand that in fashion, clothes tend to "hang" better on slender frames but this is taking it way too far."
"Not only does she look like a skeleton, her whole complexion and facial expression makes it seem like she is near death,” they added.
Others have said people who are at risk of having an eating disorder, or battlinganorexia, can be deeply affected by very thin models in magazines.

The Danish Tax Minister Benny Englebrecht said on Facebook: "I seriously thought that the fashion industry had understood that anorexia is a problem that should be taken seriously."
The publisher, Malene Malling, has since issued an apology, saying: “I have not lived up to my responsibility as a publisher, woman and mother and am truly sorry.”
The model caught up in the storm is 16-year-old Lululeika Ravn Liep.
She is described on the Fashion Spot website as being '5ft 10ins, with a 23inch waist', and has modelled for French fashion house Louis Vuitton on the catwalk during Paris Fashion Week.
Her agency Scoop have been reported as saying that the model is having a difficult time in her life after losing two family members of her family and asked that all comments made about her are 'respectful'.
