Phoenix of Tanzania Assurance Company Limited (PTAL) is a General Insurance Company based in Tanzania and is part of the (Mauritius Union Group. Mauritius Union Group has footprints in Mauritius, Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda too.
The company has built a strong reputation and solid expertise with a current GCR Rating of AA-(TZ) and offers all classes of General Insurance including Aviation, Marine Hull and Travel. PTAL is looking for an experienced professional in the field of Human Resources. Details for the position are outlined below.
Position: Human Resources Manager Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer - PTAL
Location: Tanzania.
Overall Purpose of the Job In the organization
The purpose of this position is to maximize the productivity of PTAL by optimizing the effectiveness of its employees
Key Performance Areas
Manage all HR functions including Recruitment and Selection, learning and Growth, Compensation and Benefits Management, Motivation, Employee Relations, Safety and Health Management, Manpower Planning and Staff Welfare.
Formulation of HR strategies aligned to the business strategy.
Draft or Review and implement HR policies.
Manage HR processes.
Oversee implementation of HR projects e.g. Implementation of HRIS etc.
Compliance.
Minimum Requirements:
A first degree from a recognized university, an MBA will be an added advantage.
A postgraduate diploma in Human Resources Management.
At least 5 years' experience as a Human Resources Manager in the financial services sector.
A Tanzanian national.
