The Radio X presenter spoke out after he was accused of sending flirty messages to model Rhian Sugden for the second time

Vernon Kay has broken his silence amid a SECOND 'sexting scandal' today, saying: "There was never any inappropriate intent to our communication".
The TV presenter, who is married to Tess Daly, has been accused of sending flirty messages to glamour model Rhian Sugden - the same beauty he was linked to six years ago.
Taking to Twitter today, he said in a statement: "Regarding today’s story: I was contacted by Rhian out of the blue back in December regarding the story in 2010 claiming she had information she wanted to pass on.
"I recognise how it may look when messages are pulled out of context but there was never any inappropriate intent to our communication, I was merely trying to find answers to questions that I've had since 2010."

He added: "Tess is aware of everything that has been discussed with Rhian."

It comes after the Radio X presenter admitted he woke up with a "massive headache" earlier today, as he filled in for Chris Moyles from 6.30am.
He opened the show by saying: "Good morning and welcome to the show after a very, very big Easter weekend.

"Extra laps on the treadmill for me, if you can do extra laps on a treadmill. To be honest with you all that chocolate, coming out of every orifice.
"I finished work on Thursday and relaxed because I knew I had four days off, so, I sat back, chilled.
"Then first thing Friday morning I had sniffles. And I woke up this morning with a massive headache."
