The BBC have denied that there is a crisis behind the scenes of popular talent show Strictly Come Dancing.

Earlier today (Tuesday) it was revealed that professional dancer Tristan MacManus quit the BBC One series, becoming the fourth star to leave.
The dancer will not appear in the new series and follows in the footsteps of Aliona Vilani, Ola Jordan and Kristina Rihanoff .
The Irish-born dancer explained: "No, I won't be going back. I think over the time I have been there I have realised more and more that it is not for me."
It was thought that MacManus' decision caused further problems for the show's producers, but this is not the case, according to a BBC spokesperson.
A Strictly Come Dancing spokesman told Mirror Online: "The new series is still six months away and the 2016 professional dancers line-up will be announced in due course."

Bye bye MacManus

The Irish dancer, who joined the BBC celebrity dancing competition in 2014 , has previously been paired with Jennifer Gibney and Jamelia.
The star told fan site MacManiacs.org - a website dedicated to all things MacManus - that Strictly is "not for me".
"I think the show needs someone a lot different to me on the show to get what they want, and I need something a lot different to make me happy and get what I want out of it.
"I think there will be a lot of changes on the show, and I have enjoyed it for the most part but right now I just need a break from it all."

Time on their hands

The announcement of the professional dancers usually happens a couple of weeks before Strictly Come Dancing starts - the last two years that has been around the end of August.
We expect that will be the same when Strictly Come Dancing series 14 returns later in the year.
In 2015 the series launched on 5 September 5, so there is lots of time to pick professional dancers.
