Nothing was going to stop this handy hound from enjoying a much-needed splash

We've all been there.
It's a hot day, your owner's gone out, there's no one to fill the paddling pool.
Well nothing was going to stop this plucky Labrador from enjoying a much-needed dip.
The handy hound - six month old Maddie - is in the back garden when she spots that the hose is on.
She clamps it between her jaws and trots over the her pooch's paddling pool - currently empty.

Inventive animal: Maddie is determined to have a dip

But she can't get the pesky hosepipe into the right place.
Maddie pulls it one way, then the other - and ends up with it wrapped around her legs.
After pawing the pipe back into what looks like the perfect position, she's still not satisfied, and carries on manoeuvring the water flow to fill up her makeshift bath.
Commentators on Maddie's YouTube clip, which has been viewed more than 10,000 times, are both impressed and disappointed by her antics.
