The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has revealed she first laid eyes on her stepparent- who was previously known as Bruce Jenner before undergoing a gender transition - when she attended the cover shoot, Caitlyn's first as a woman.
She told Entertainment Tonight: "It was so beautiful. I actually went to the shoot, and that was my first time meeting Caitlyn.
"She's beautiful, and I'm so proud that she can just be her authentic self. I guess that's what life is about."
Meanwhile, Kim previously spoke out about the family's unfaltering support for Caitlyn.

"I feel for people that don't have that support. There's such a high suicide rate in the transgender community, which is heartbreaking."
The 34-year-old television personality also took to social media to share a snap from the photo shoot, urging her stepmother, 65, to be "happy [and] proud" with who she is.
She wrote: "Caitlyn Jenner for Vanity Fair. Annie Leibovitz! How beautiful! Be happy, be proud, live life YOUR way! (sic)"

The famous momager has stayed silent on Twitter while other members of the famous family have openly backed Caitlyn's new look and bombshell first print interview.
While the likes of siblings Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian re-posted the stunning magazine cover, Kris stayed silent on Twitter after Caitlyn revealed she felt "mistreated" during their marriage.
"Twenty per cent was gender and 80 per cent was the way I was treated," the former Olympian said.
