The 30-year-old, named locally as Ashraf Amrani, had been jailed for seven years in 2010 for the sex attack
A rapist murdered his parents and killed himself, it was feared last night.
The 30-year-old’s body was located on a first floor roof and his mother and father were found dead next day in a flat nearby.
Their deaths are being treated as “suspicious”, although police say they are not looking for anyone else.
The killer, named locally as Ashraf Amrani, had been jailed for seven years at Southwark crown court in June 2010 after filming a horrific sex attack on a young woman he had lured to his home.
He ordered his victim to carry out domestic tasks – including cleaning the bath – before launching his attack. He later raped her off camera.
He then threatened to send the footage to her family if she went to the police.
A murder investigation has been launched after the grim finds in Notting Hill, West London. A neighbour said: “They were just a really nice couple. I’m just so shocked. It is awful.
“I hadn’t seen the son for a few years, and saw him again about a month and a half ago. He did used to get into a fair amount of trouble. The last time I saw the wife was on Thursday and she didn’t look happy.
“On that same night when I went home my brother told me that police had been round and they were looking for the son and opened the door. He got the impression he was in there and not letting them in.”
Scotland Yard said the 30-year-old was found at Friday lunchtime and the couple were discovered 24 hours later. The son had been due to answer bail on suspicion of affray on Wednesday.
Police have formally identified the man but had not released his name last night.
A report will be sent to the Independent Police Complaints Commission today.
