Claire Marshall Hernandez shared a photo of the passenger on social media - warning her colleagues about the passenger on a return flight from Spain
An air attendant posted a photo of an allegedly troublesome passenger on Facebook - branding her ‘an absolutely barking mad nutter’.
Claire Marshall Hernandez has been disciplined after uploading the derogatory post to the ‘Thomson Airways MAN Info Group’ - a part of the social network used byThomson Airways staff.
The woman can be seen leaning forward in her seat with other passengers in the background.
Along with the image, the female air attendant added a caption criticising the passenger in her care, reports Manchester Evening News.
Describing her as an ‘absolute nightmare’, she warned her colleagues about the return leg from Spain, adding: “Anyway she will keep you very busy.”
She added: “Oh and she’s got a stash of brandy in that hand bag. She also blocked up the whole of the front toilet with God knows what.”
Adding the hashtag ‘nuisance’, the Thomson worker leaves no holds barred while venting about her day in the skies.
She goes on to criticise the woman’s clothing in a comment beneath her post, which received more than 12 ‘likes’.
It is understood a group administrator spotted the post and took it down shortly afterwards, but not before it was spotted by a reader, who asked to remain anonymous.
He said: “This lady is clearly a vulnerable adult. What the stewardesses status is saying up to an extent is that she is clearly unwell, however, I am going to mock her and make a laughing stock of her.
“Considering that cabin crew are trained in ensuring passengers are taken to their destination safely, supposedly without judgement, to look after the welfare of 200 - 300 or more people - and considering the traveller is paying for the seat and expecting that.
"I find this appalling.
“This mocks the whole purpose for having someone there for your safety and welfare - especially requiring extra support.
“She is saying ‘we are the number one holiday leisure company - however we will mock and cause you to be an embarrassment on your travels’.”
A Thomson Airways spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that the post was removed immediately, and the member of staff involved has
